Reduced lead-time management presents various advantages and disadvantages. Another benefit is the utilization of resources; quick production requires company invest in making sure that there is little wastage as a way of improving the production process and meet the short deadlines. One of the cons of reduced lead-time management is it might lead to the production of lower quality commodities. When trying to deliver goods and service to the customers within the shortest time possible, companies might use less effective methods in the manufacturing process which are cheaper or might skip some stages of production; this results in lower quality products and services. One of the ways that can be used by companies to adapt to these changes is investing in technology and research, new and improved technology makes it possible to produce products and service within a short time and at cheaper rates while at the same time improving their quality. Pipeline management deals with sales; sales pipeline management refers to close monitoring of every stage of the supply chain as a way of generating successful contacts (Sellers, 2017). Logistics deals with the handling of operations that involve providing materials needed and labor.
