Free Slaves To Christ Replies Coursework Example

SLAVES TO CHRIST Name Course + Code Date The Bible stories give numerous examples of leaders who served God and led other Christians into His ways. For instance, Nehemiah was acknowledged as a great leader and Slave to Christ because he used his leadership position to build both the walls and the spiritual faiths of the people. Therefore he portrays the role of a true Christian leader through having faith in God and His will to confront impossible difficulties and lead the church, nations, families, and people of God. MacArthur affirms this reply by highlighting disciples of God who faithfully spread the word of God to people. For instance, Paul identified himself as a slave of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:1), and as he wrote the letter to the Philippines, he began by identifying himself as a slave of Christ. He intended to enlighten the Philippians that they are slaves of Christ and with this identity, it would inform their reactions to the difficult situations they faced. Leaders who become enslaved to righteousness are able to understand God’s will and help Christians to walk in the righteous path. According to MacArthur, identifying oneself as a slave to Christ is the best way to become a Christian. In the biblical sense, slavery refers to the exclusive ownership by the master. In 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20, Paul explains that humans are not alone and that our very existence came at a price. This shows that Christians do not exist in a world of untethered independency. Humans do not decide their fate nor are they captains of their souls. The fact that our existence came at a cost it highly shows that we belong to...
