Shakespeare’s Presentation of the Relationship Between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
A relationship is a sharing of compassion, understanding, and tribunals with another humankind, a connection between a female and a male sexually and emotionally, or it may as well be merely love or kindness entangled between two persons. These characteristics of relationship are, and other more are shown in the famous tragedy of Macbeth written by William Shakespeare. The manner in which the relationship between the Lord and Lady Macbeth changes drastically in the entire play is an illustration of how delicate a relationship is. Just one action or word could destroy a stable bond. The drama, Macbeth, is an excellent example of a perfect relationship that starts a fight with a higher power, and finally plunges into hopelessness with no exit or turning back (Shakespeare).
In the play, the relationship is presented as one controlled by greed desire for power. The writing demonstrates how ambition overrides the conscience and inhibitions of a good man. At the start, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are portrayed as two honorable Scots in a good relationship, faithful to their king and in a position of authority. Macbeth is [presented as a brave and upright man, for instance, King Duncan mentions Macbeth as "O valiant cousin, worthy gentleman!" (Shakespeare I, II), Macbeth is admired by everyone for his abilities in the battle. However, the relation and balance of power in Lord and Lady Macbeth’s marriage leads to the relationship’s ultimate downfall. Macbeth’s downfall begins when he first encounters the witches who then tell him that he was destined to be Thane and King of Cawdor.
